L's new layout!

Green and yellow together are not the colours I would associate with you. Perhaps they reflect the mood you were in when you changed it!

I am feeling a bit better today. Phoned NHS Direct yesterday. They seem to think it could be one cold on top of another. That could be why it has gone on for so long. I am just fed up with not feeling well and this has been going on for more than a fortnight. Keep your fingers crossed that it sorts itself out in the next few days.

Have finished latest knitting effort. Not sure about the sleeves. Will put it to one side for now to think about the sleeves. I may have to alter them in some way, but not sure yet.

Still don't feel good. Can this be just a cold? It feels like just a cold, but it has lasted for more than a week now. And I feel so knackered.

Enjoyed the birthday meal on Thursday, but couldn't eat much. Went to Blue Water after, at L's request. Well, it was her birthday. Felt drained when we got home. Bought a game for the PC. Bejewelled 2. Nice and easy for me to play. M and I have been trying to better each other's scores! How sad!

Still feel concerned about the content of L's entries in her lj. Must have a long chat with her about it. Not easy as she is never here lately.

Not a good idea!

It was not really a good idea to start reading entries in my daughter's lj. It has made me feel very sad. I wish I could do more, perhaps connect more. Maybe connect is not the right word. Don't know. I do wish she had persevered with the anti-depressants. Eventually we may have found the right ones to help her. Her state of mind, at times, has been quite worrying. I am also not happy with the drug taking. I think I need to look into finding out more.

I can do this!

Slowly getting the hang of this. I have changed the look of my lj and downloaded some more pictures to add to my lj. It is a new way of thinking for me, but I shall get there!

I feel better today. There is still hope I will feel ok for tomorrow's birthday lunch. We are going to my favourite restaurant, a Chinese, all-you-can-eat buffet. The food is great and you can take as long as you want. I love the fact that you get to try dishes you would not normally try when you get a take-away.
I can't believe my daughter is going to be 20 tomorrow! When did that happen!

It never ceases to amaze me how rough you can feel when you have just a cold! And just to put icing on the cake, I am now losing my voice! My family are having endless fun taking the mickey out of the way I am speaking but every time I laugh at them I start coughing - how bad is that? Hopefully I will be feeling better by Thursday as it is my daughter's birthday and we are going out for a meal (her boyfriend included).

This is my first entry to see how it all looks.

I must say, I feel rather pleased with myself. I am not very computer savvy, but with a little (or maybe large) help from my daughter, I think it has turned out rather well.
